It’s the eve before Atlanta Gift show and I’m excited about exhibiting this summer. Setting up the booth today, I reflect on the fact that 3 years ago was my first time to participate in the show. Set up was much faster then as I only had cards in my line. Emily, my daughter, flew in to help me work the show and I was so happy to have her with me. Fast-forward 3 years to a much larger booth. Sadly Emily isn’t with me this year but I’m delighted to be sharing my booth space with Susan Schmitt and her Art. We met when we shared a booth at the Vegas show in January. Susan’s art is delightful, whimsical, sweet, amusing and just plain wonderful. Check out her lovely ladies and her art at her website: http://www.susanschmittart.com/catalog/
Susan arrived to find lots of tables in our booth space. More than we needed or ordered. Once I got there we assessed the situation then began shifting tables around, setting ones we wouldn’t need in the aisle. I’m always in a bit of overwhelm when I arrive at a show site and see my pallet of boxes waiting to be opened. Slowly and methodically I begin…Shrink-wrap comes off, boxes are opened, displays taken out and card racks set up. I move things here then there…rearranging a number of times before I think, “this is it!”.
It all worked out quite nicely. We are thrilled to be across from the bathrooms! Always a good location when you are near bathrooms. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll attach lots of photos from today. Can wait to do my recap blog post about the success of show in a week!!
