New Website and New York!

New Website:

Wow!  I can’t believe it…after months and months, literally, my revised website is up and running…it looks alot like the old site but it has been enhanced in many ways that you can’t see.  The check out process should be easier.  You can now, finally, purchase all the new product that I’ve introduced such as the fun list pads, beautiful boxed note sets and the many new card designs!  The blog is now integrated into the site and I can have a feature photo, which I’ll have, with each post.  I can’t believe I’ve let so many weeks go by without posting anything but…I’ve been busy, I’ve been waiting for this to be complete and plain and simple I’ve not done it.  So I’ll make this new post brief but am promising myself to be more up to date with postings as I view this as a record keeper for the progress of Words and Watercolors!

New York!:

Mark, my husband, and I returned from the National Stationery Show (NSS) in New York a week ago.  The 2nd year for Words and Watercolors to be in attendance at the show.  I love the show for a few reasons, first off is the chance to hang out in the bustling city of New York.  We ate lots of good food, saw an off Broadway play and visited the 9/11 Memorial.  The show aspect was good as I wrote orders, got to talk to lots of new  (to me) retailers, met with a few of my reps, and had more interest in licensing for my artwork. Best of all was the fact that my wrapping paper was selected for the Best New Product Competition of the show.  Though it didn’t win it’s category, I had 3 boxes wrapped in the exhibit at the entrance to the show.  People came to see my booth after seeing my wrapping paper!  Great way to promote my booth!!  It’s also fun to meet the other exhibitors, compare notes and learn from them.  All in all it was a good show!
