I had intended to write last week after spending an afternoon at City Hall and the Board of Equalization becoming “official”. Jane Gong was a big help to me in the Office of Small Business at City Hall. She got me headed in the right direction as I had to go from one place to another. From registering the business to doing the “fictitious name” search (who ever heard of such a thing? it’s along the lines of making sure there are no other “words and watercolors” out there in the world) to then heading over to another part of downtown to go to the Board of Equalization where I got my tax ID number. I felt officially “official” after all that plus writing the checks to make “Words and Watercolors” a viable business in San Francisco. Another step in the journey.
Picked up the catalog from the printer this afternoon. They make the business look “official”! Thanks to Sarah and her incredible creativity, I’ve got one of the best looking catalogs around. I’m in awe when looking at all the artwork (a total of 57 cards). It truly is a dream come true to see all the cards organized into categories (Birthday, Inspirational, Comfort, etc). YeeHaw!
Hard to believe I’m headed for Denver Friday morning! Just need to pack it up and get on the plane. Watch for updates from the show. I’ll post pics while there….
Can’t wait to head to Denver early Friday morning to
